THE ACCOUNT · summary
MAITRI is officially funded by GGSIPU with a ₹1 lakh grant. It pairs an AI companion with breathing, meditation, focus sessions, scored yoga, verified psychologists and a peer community. It reads a Bluetooth heart-rate strap and a custom ESP8266 ECG sensor, and every camera and microphone analysis runs in the browser.
CLUES FOUND · what I built
- The Yoga Content Studio: live posture scoring, keyframe processing, a 3D practice view, and the instructor Pose Creator and Recording Studio, with backend persistence and tests.
- The companion backend: one persona with crisis tiers, model choice and mood check-ins.
- Self-hosted inference: the companion runs on my home GPU behind Cloudflare Tunnel, one generation at a time.
- A fine-tuning pipeline: supervised fine-tuning with TRL and PEFT on ROCm, GGUF export to Ollama, and an evaluation harness.
- Rebuilt dashboard, settings, companion and admin screens, plus a type and colour pass.
COMMIT SPLIT Authored the core platform architecture, 3D vision studio, local inference pipeline, and backend (89 commits); teammates contributed pose datasets, content, and frontend assets.
